Llandissilio has an ancient history, and the village takes its name from Tysilio, a 7th-century Welsh saint to whom the parish church is dedicated. Ancient remains indicate that the area that is now the village of Llandissilio has been occupied for many centuries. For part of its history the parish of Llandissilio was in Carmarthenshire.

Three Wells, was built on the turn of the century and in summer 2018 was refurbished to a very high standard and opened as a small bed and breakfast establishment. Three Wells B and B offers 3 individually-styled en-suite rooms with individual pieces of furniture softened with natural fibre furnishings such as 800 thread count Egyptian cotton bedding, Melin Tregwynt woollen throws and 1000 pocket sprung Silentnight mattresses for ultimate comfort. The décor and furnishings summon up nostalgic thoughts of the vintage Welsh farmhouse. Values, style and warm Welsh hospitality ensure that your stay will be as comfortable as possible. Each room has complimentary coffee/tea making facilities and the finest luxury Myddfai toiletries whilst offering up-to-date facilities such as USB phone charger sockets at your bedside. There is also complimentary wi-fi throughout Three Wells B&B.

A short walk around the corner on the main road, you will find two local pubs and a little further down the road towards Clunderwen is a restaurant – all are within walking distance.
